Today, the American people are facing the end of democracy and the defeat of the American Revolution. Clearly, the corrupt Democratic-Republican Duopoly Party in power in Washington today has fallen into the hands of lending institutions and moneyed multinational corporations, exactly as Thomas Jefferson spoke of in 1816.
The Supreme Court’s disastrous decision on Citizens United v. FEC in January of 2010 quite effectively legalized bribery throughout our American government by allowing unlimited campaign contributions by multinational corporations to be paid to the candidates running for office in the Democratic-Republican Duopoly Party. This came into fruition when Citizens United introduced the concept of corporate personhood into the American legal system, which now allows multinational corporations to buy our legislators in Congress and in The White House with campaign contributions. As a result, in return for their corporate money, these legislators now allow several multinational corporations to write the legislation passed by our corporate owned Congress, and it gets signed into law by our corporate owned president, in order to increase the corporate profits of the multinational corporations that own the Democratic-Republican Duopoly Party. This corporate legislation then completely eliminates taxes through tax loopholes for corporations and wealthy individuals and by completely eliminating the costly environmental regulations that are required to protect the American people. This is why there are massive amounts of gas spewing into our atmosphere in California today and why there are so many multinational oil corporations contaminating our water supplies all across America today with the toxic hydraulic fluids required for fracking being pumped into our water aquifers. This is also why Barack Obama has been pushing for the passage of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement, which was written by multinational corporations for the benefit of multinational corporations, and this why Barack Obama is committed to signing the TPP into law as soon as Congress passes it and places it into his hands. The TPP will sign the American people’s sovereignty over our nation to the multinational corporations that own the Democratic-Republican Duopoly Party today.
Sadly, multinational military industrial contractors have also benefited tremendously through the passage of Citizens United by allowing them to bribe our legislators in Washington to start wars throughout the world, so that they can get more BILLIONS of OUR tax dollars to finance and manufacture the weapons of war. Additionally as a result of this, the multinational oil corporations that also own our elected representatives in Washington get more BILLIONS of petrodollars when they steal the oil and the gas from the innocent victims of the nations that the United States occupies.
The passage of Citizens United, and the Supreme Court’s decision that Citizens United is constitutional, has clearly perverted the Constitution of the United States with corporate cash, and someone needs to fix this problem for the American people. This is what I want to do for the American people, but in order to accomplish this I need to go to Washington.
During the first half of the 20th century, concerned Americans and the American labor force came together and formed their own political institutions to challenge corporate power, and this is how the American people were able to force the progressive reforms that helped to bring the United States out of the Great Depression and changed America into the economic powerhouse that it became during the second half of the 20th century.
Some of the reforms that made America great after the Great Depression were the trade tariffs placed upon the products manufactured in certain foreign nations. These trade tariffs leveled the playing field for American workers who were forced to compete with workers in sweat shops getting paid a few pennies and a bowl of rice each day for their labor in foreign nations where slavery is still legal. Unfortunately, Richard Nixon was responsible for the removal of most of these trade tariffs during the 1970s when he opened up trade relations with China, where slave labor sweat shops are all still neatly hidden away to this very day today.
After these trade tariffs were removed from the products manufactured in nations where slavery is still legal, multinational corporations, like Walmart, began to exploit the slave labor workforce in these foreign nations by opening up their big box stores all across America and by pushing these cheap foreign products on American consumers. Previously, during the 1980s, Walmart would often advertise that the products that they sold in their stores were “Proudly Made in the U.S.A.” But sadly, you no longer hear this, and most of the products sold at Walmart today are no longer manufactured in the United States. Hillary Clinton was on the Board of Directors at Walmart from 1986 until 1992. Then Bill Clinton signed NAFTA into law on December 8, 1993, which resulted in the closure of many thousands of American manufacturing firms, large and small, all across America, and it shipped millions of good paying American jobs off to the foreign nations where slavery is still legal to this very day. This certainly increased the corporate profits for Walmart and it resulted in massive increases in the multimillion dollar bonus checks for the owners of Walmart, making many members of the Walton family among the most wealthy individuals in the world today. Sadly, Walmart has also brought slavery back to America by paying their American work force poverty wages, which require the rest of the American labor force to pick up the tab to pay for the food stamps and Medicaid health care required by the workers at Walmart.
Some more of the progressive reforms that helped to make America great once again after the Great Depression included the passage of the Glass-Steagall Act, or the U.S. Banking Act of 1933, which limited the affiliation of commercial banks with the risky activities of securities firms. Unfortunately, all of this ended when all of the provisions of the Glass-Steagall Act were completely eliminated when Bill Clinton signed the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act into law in 1999, which effectively repealed Glass-Steagall and once again made corruption highly profitable within the multinational banking industry, especially with the billion dollar bailouts financed on the backs of American taxpayers for the benefit of the crooks running the banks that are too big to fail.
This brings me to the question of how can the American people possibly fix this ugly mess when the corrupt, corporate owned Democratic-Republican Duopoly Party remains in power in Washington today?
The only answer to this question is for all concerned Americans and the American labor force to once again come together by forming our own political institutions to challenge the power of the corrupt, corporate owned Democratic-Republican Duopoly Oligarchy Party that remains in power and exists in Washington today. One political institution that is indeed challenging this corrupt, corporate owned duopoly cabal of evil and greed and wars for oil is the Green Party of the United States. This is why I am running as a Green Party candidate for the office of Representative to Congress in the United States House of Representatives and this is why I am asking for your vote in the Green Party primary election on May 8 and in the general election on November 6 also.
Once elected, I promise to support Dr. Jill Stein’s proposed “Power to the People Plan” which will create millions of jobs by transitioning to 100% clean, renewable energy and by investing in public transit, sustainable agriculture, and conservation. I promise to form a coalition with other members of Congress, in both the House and in the Senate, in order to simultaneously introduce new Green legislation in both the House and the Senate that will result in a New Green Deal for the American people, instead of more of the same, old legislation that only results in increased corporate profits for the multinational corporations own the corrupt Democratic-Republican Duopoly Oligarchy Party today.
One of the very first items that I will address and work on with my colleagues in Congress will be to sponsor legislation in the House, and to introduce legislation simultaneously in the Senate, which will lead to an Amendment to the Constitution of the United States that will result in the reversal of the disastrous 2010 Supreme Court decision on Citizens United v. FEC. My personal belief is that our founding fathers never envisioned the possibility or even the concept of corporate personhood that Citizens United created. Corporations are NOT people, and as such, they should not be entitled to the same rights and privileges as the flesh, blood and bone individual citizens of this nation and they should not be allowed to own our legislators and our government by buying them with their billions of dollars in corporate cash. That is just wrong and we need to stop it now before these multinational corporations drive our country completely off the road and deep into the ditch of fascism, oligarchy and plutocracy and onto the path to World War III. Reversing Citizens United will get the corporate cash out of politics in America and return the control over our government to the American people, where the control clearly and rightly needs to be placed.
We also need new Green legislation that will restore all of the provisions that were previously provided by the Glass-Steagall Act, so that the American people do not ever have to fund more bank bailouts and millions of dollars in bonuses for the crooks running the banks that are too big to fail.
We also need to enact new Green legislation that will restore the trade tariffs on products manufactured in nations where slavery is still legal this very day today and where multinational corporations are allowed to get away with paying their employees poverty wages. This is absolutely necessary to level the playing field for the American work force so that American workers no longer have to compete for jobs with the workers employed by multinational corporations that own, fund and support slave labor sweat shops throughout the world.
In addition, we need to ensure that ALL American workers are adequately compensated by passing new Green legislation that requires all businesses in America to pay their employees a living wage, where all American workers can comfortably support themselves and their families without having to worry about adequate health care for themselves and their families. This will require that we pass new Green legislation to initially increase the minimum wage to at least $15.00 per hour and more new Green legislation to provide single-payer heath care for all working Americans and their families. From my view, a single-payer health care system for all Americans can easily be funded by ending the many ugly wars that our out of control American government is currently funding by stealing the required money from our Social Security Trust Fund.
In my view, there is just too much suffering all across America today. But also in my view, I can see that if we can all come together and unite the American workforce, along with the majority of the American people, behind the Green Party of the United States, We The People of the United States will accomplish everything that I have covered and discussed here. Very much unlike the corrupt, corporate owned Democratic-Republican Duopoly Oligarchy Party, the Green Party of the United States is the only political party that does NOT take money from corporations. The only one. The Green Party of the United States is supported by small campaign contributions from American people like you who vote for us. Therefore, the Green Party of the United States can not be bought. Please help me make all of this a reality by helping to send me to Washington so that I can work on fixing this ugly mess that we have on our hands on Capitol Hill today.
This year, there are 33 open seats in the United States Senate and 435 open seats in the United States House of Representatives and there are many Green Party candidates on the ballots running for those open seats all across America today. Once we get some Green Party candidates in Congress, we will finally be able to give the American people a voice in our out of control government in Washington by enacting our Green Party legislative goals.
Once this is accomplished, we should be able to take our country and our government away from the multinational corporations that own the corrupt Democratic-Republican Duopoly Oligarchy Mafia Cabal and finally bring Dr. Jill Stein’s ‘Power to the People Plan‘ into fruition, in order to overthrow the corrupt Democratic and Republican legislators who have totally perverted the Constitution of the United States with corporate cash.
